Three sentenced for stock theft of stud ram worth R100 000 in Loxton

Pieter Booysen (27), Kevin Bostander(29) and Wesley Van Rooi(25) were each convicted and handed down 3 years direct imprisonment for stock theft in Loxton, recently.

On 26 February 2024 the three suspects stole a stud ram worth R100 000-00 that was being prepared for international exporting from a farm near Loxton.

The three accused were arrested, found guilty and sentenced on 05 September 2024 in the Loxton Magistrates’ Court to three years direct imprisonment.

The SAPS Management in the Northern Cape commended Detective Sergeant Winston Jullies of the De Aar Stock Theft and Endangered Species Unit for his meticulous investigation that led to the incarceration of the three stock thieves.
