The Kathu SAPS Crime Prevention members followed up on information and arrested the second male suspect in connection with the murder and business robbery incident that took place in Kathu on 08 October 2024 at about 12:45.
The 31-year-old male shop employee was attacked during the business robbery and suffered fatal head and body injuries.
The second 41-year-old male suspect was arrested at a house in Siyathemba at 20:45 while the first male suspect (20) was arrested at the Kathu Dumping site an hour after the incident occurred.
Both the suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola applauded the swift response of the SAPS with the assistance of the community and other role players in apprehending the two assailants within hours of the brutal attack.
The investigation continues.
